Thank goodness I easily found it here. My son begs to play this game, and we love that he's learning manners in a way that is so much fun. Not being able to find this in stores, I was told the Little Leaps system had been discontinued. Inexpensive, brand new, and arrived 3 days after ordering.
He has played this for the last 3 days and it's a great tool to teach directions, manners and listening skills. My 2 yr old loves this game (actually it's an educational game but he doesn't know that). Highly recommended.
My 2 year old loves this game. The songs are catchy and you won't go crazy with hearing it 5 million times.
We are on our second disk now. The manners they teach are good, and my son likes to play along with the characters is acting out the manners or emotions. It shuts off when trying top play. He didn't play with it much, but now at 3 years old, he loves this game. I do put the disk in for him, but occasionally he will get a hold of it and I guess it gets scratched easily. As for the durability of the disk, not so good.
I wish they could find a way to make them more durable for a product for kids and used by kids. We bought this for Christmas in 07 when my son was 2 1/2. He loves the whole Thomas family and this game is his favorite. Even with very little handling by my sons, the disk is scratched just enough to not work for some of the games.
so now I have had to spend another $40.00 on a piece of equipment that doesn't have many games with it, and he will outgrow in one year. I ordered this toy, and couldn't tell that you needed to purchase an expensive piece of other equipment to use it, and i have purchased a LOT of leap frog items and it's always clear what equipment it works on. I would have been better off buying something else.
